SUMMARY:
The School of Nursing at Niagara University invites applications for an Assistant Professor/tenure track position in the fall of 2016 pending budgetary approval.  The areas of specialization are open, but we are especially interested in medical/surgical nursing and/or community health.  Responsibilities for the position include teaching undergraduate courses (3 courses per semester), an active program of research leading to publications, and service to the University, the profession, and the community.  Required qualifications include a Ph.D., Ed.D, or other health field research doctoral degree with a M.S. in a nursing specialty area, current and unencumbered NYS professional nursing licensure (RN); clinical experience, national certification in specialty area is preferred, and demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and research.  This is a unique opportunity for a visionary nurse educator to creatively participate in shaping the future of nursing education at the baccalaureate.  Applications received by June 1, 2016 will receive full consideration, but all applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.
