SUMMARY:

The Department of Marketing has potential openings for part time instructors to teach classes beginning in the fall 2018 semester. Classes include:

Food & CPG Marketing

Sales

Retailing

Integrated Marketing Communication Strategy

Advertising

Big Data Analytics

Social Media and Mobile Marketing

International Marketing


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

On a part time basis:

Prepares course outlines, descriptions and lesson plans as required by Department Chair;

Prepares and grades tests, work sheets and projects to evaluate students;

Maintains a class record and attendance book;

Provides tutorial help as required by those students. Refers students to others for specific problem solving.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Thorough knowledge of subject matter;

Ability to plan and present instructional material in a clear, logical and concise manner;

Ability to maintain proper teacher-student relationship;

Sound professional judgment;

Initiative and resourcefulness;

Ability to teach both at the undergraduate and graduate level;  


ERGONOMIC REQUIREMENTS:

The functions of the position usually performed sitting, but may require some amount of time standing. Some amount of stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, lifting, walking, carrying and other movements may be required.  Tasks involving working on a computer keyboard, computer software applications, calculator, cutting, labeling, and taping involve extensive wrist and hand movement.  All individuals are required to be able to perform these movements without significant risk of injury to themselves or others.


QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

Master's Degree in area of specialization required; Experience in specialized field; Online teaching experience is an advantage
