SUMMARY:

The School of Nursing at Niagara University invites applications for an Assistant Professor (tenure track) for the fall 2019.  The area of specialization is in medical/surgical nursing.  Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses (3 courses per semester), an active program of research, and service to the university, the profession, and the community.

Required qualifications include a PH.D., Ed.D. or other health field research doctoral degree with a M.S.in a nursing specialty area, current and unencumbered New York State professional licensure (RN).  Clinical experience and national certification in the specialty area are also preferred.  Candidate should demonstrate the potential for excellence in teaching and research.  This is a unique opportunity for a visionary nurse educator to creatively participate in shaping the future of nursing education at the baccalaureate level.  All applications will be reviewed until the position is filled. 

Our teaching facilities include a state-of-the-art simulation center as well as a nursing skills lab.All nursing programs at Niagara are CCNE-accredited and are recognized as being innovative, community-based, and student friendly.  Niagara University is a Catholic University run by the Vincentian community and is located on the lower Niagara River in Lewiston, New York.  One of the hallmarks of the Nursing program is education that is consistent with the Vincentian mission of the University.
